Solid-object and dust protection:
• IP0X: no protection claim
• IP1X–IP4X: access/ingress checks with 50 mm, 12.5 mm, 2.5 mm and 1 mm probes
• IP5X: dust protected
• IP6X: dust tight
Water protection:
• IPX1–IPX2: vertical and inclined dripping
• IPX3–IPX4: spraying and splashing
• IPX5–IPX6: water jets
• IPX7–IPX8: temporary and continuous immersion
• IPX9: high-pressure, high-temperature water jet
